Rielle Capler has been has been involved in the cannabis field for the past 19 years, engaged in research, knowledge translation, policy development, service provision and community organizing. She has a Master’s degree in Health Administration, and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies which focused on access to cannabis for medical purposes under different regulatory frameworks in Canada. Rielle received the Governor General of Canada’s Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her work in this field, and has provided consultation to government and industry in Canada and abroad. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the BCCSU at UBC.
