He started developing a keen interest in the cannabis beat when Vancouver witnessed an explosion of unregulated pot shops about five years ago. Since then, he has reported on the evolving medical marijuana laws, the rise of the industry connected to the sector as well as the country’s sizable illicit market for cannabis. At the outset of legalization, he is keen to continue charting how this monumental shift in drug policy is affecting Canada.
