Emergency physician and Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of British Columbia
Ian Mitchell is an emergency physician in Kamloops BC and an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UBC. He is a qualified investigator for a randomized controlled trial of cannabis for the treatment of PTSD at UBC Okanagan, sponsored by Tilray. He is a contributor and on the editorial board for Using Medical Cannabis. His side job is teaching research methods and evidence based medicine to physicians in training at the Kamloops Family Medicine Residency program. He has been a frequent Burning Man medical volunteer and speaks annually at the Basscoast Festival in Merritt. He sees patients for medical cannabis authorizations in Kamloops through MCRCI.
When not doing all that, he is spending time with his family and trying to get a day off for snowboarding.
