Dr. Richa Love
Dr. Richa Love is a prominent cannabis physician, industry leader and speaker who has already helped 14,000 patients improve their lives with cannabis. Graduating from University of Calgary medical school in 1998, with a specialty in family practice, over the past twenty years she has become a prominent member of the Alberta medical community. She has been nominated for Physician of the year multiple times, has been involved in medical boards, physician governance, advocacy, teaching, and published research over her career. Her journey into medical cannabis started with her own struggles with rheumatoid arthritis. She also saw how it changed the life of her mother who suffers from depression, fibromyalgia and colitis. She has always advocated an integrated approach to patient wellness. She is a passionate patient-advocate and is spear heading research into the effects of medical cannabis in various medical conditions and hopes to use that research to validate the use of cannabinoid based therapies and in development of new delivery mechanisms and formulations for specific medical conditions. As VIVO’s Chief Medical Officer, her goal is to educate even more patients and physicians on a national and global scale about the benefits of medical cannabis.
