Dr. Paul Daeninck is a medical oncologist and palliative medicine consultant with Cancer Care Manitoba and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) Palliative Care Program. He is an Assistant Professor and Leader for the Palliative Care Theme for Undergraduate Education at the Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba.
Dr. Daeninck has served with several national organizations, including the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. He is the incoming President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC).
Dr. Daeninck is the author of several research papers as well as textbook chapters. He serves as a reviewer for palliative medicine journals. He has been active in medical student and resident education and has ongoing research interests in several aspects of palliative medicine. His interest in cannabinoids goes back to 2000 when he joined the CCIC and began working with others having a similar interest. He has taught many healthcare professionals through the Accredited Cannabinoid Education project, the annual Cannabinoids in Clinical Practice symposium, as well as at several other national and international conferences.
