Abdullah Al-Kazaz is a licensed pharmacist at Cadence Apothecary in Downtown Toronto. Abdullah received the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto in June, 2016. He worked in the community pharmacy setting and Long-term Care for a variety of pharmacy companies. His practice focused on non-sterile compounding, opioid addiction, pain management, mental illness and skin care.
The integration of cannabis as a medication in pharmacy practice and its role in pain management has spiked Abdullah’ interest. His goal is to use journal citations, clinical practice guidelines and other education sources to educate front-line healthcare professionals and the public on the risks and benefits of medical marijuana and its dispensing limitations and opportunities in a community setting.
